Frank Cohn

Frank Cohn is the owner of Cohn Construction and has been a Renovator RenoMark member of the Building Industry and Land Development Association since 1990. Frank is a past chair of both the Ontario and Toronto Renovators Council’s and a past chair of the local George Brown College curriculum advisory committee.

Cohn Construction is a two time recipient of BILD’s Renovation of the Year award in 2001 and 2007. Frank is a featured columnist in Canadian Contractor magazine and hosts of The Home Improvement Show on CFRB 1010 radio.

Frank was inducted into the BILD Hall of Fame in 2017. Frank lives, eats and breaths renovations.

peter di scola, M.A.T.T.O.

peter di scola is the owner of Salerno Custom Homes since it’s foundation in 2004. Salerno Custom Homes is a full service renovation and custom home building company. peter started in the construction industry as a tradesperson for four years after University, continued his education to become an Architectural Technologist. peter was then for 10 years employed in the Supervisor and Project Management roles with various GTA new home builders before founding Salerno Custom Homes.

Salerno Custom Homes has been a BILD member since 2009. peter currently serves on the Building Science Sub-Committee and is a member of the Association of Architectural Technologists of Ontario, where he previously served as an Executive Member.

Samuel Lapidus

Samuel Lapidus is President of Keystone Ridge Developments Ltd., a company that renovates and builds for his clients in the GTA. Samuel’s company also specializes in condominium remodeling, unique in the renovation industry. Samuel’s background includes having worked in development and strategy for one of Canada’s largest premier property management and development advisory firms. Sam has an MBA focusing on retail and commercial development.

Keystone Ridge Developments Ltd. has been a member of Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) since 2011. Sam is the chair of the Renovator & Custom Builder Council and a member of the BILD Board of Directors.

Guy Solomon
Guy Solomon is the 32 year-old founder and CEO of Penguin Basements, Canada’s leading basement renovation contractor. Guy founded Penguin Basements in 2012 with a mission to bring process and professionalism to a burgeoning industry short on both. Creating a new standard of systemized service and a customer centric experience has been the focal point of his company’s growth.
Utilizing his education in Accounting and Mathematics, Guy has been able to couple industry leading service with value driven solutions that has allowed Penguin Basements to nearly double their growth annually. As a whole, Penguin’s philosophy is to think outside of typical construction solutions and help create a new standard in contracting.
